At long last!!!!! It's a horse tale!!

Oh, my gosh, who knew??? I am finally making another post. Mandy reminded me last night that it has been almost a month since my last one. I am always telling myself that this will become a regular activity in my week but then I just put it off and the next thing I know a month has gone by.

Anyways, what I want to tell you is that I went to the MOST awesome horse show 2 weeks ago!!! It was the North Carolina State Fair Hunter/Jumper competition. It ran from Oct 6th through the 10th. This is a show that I will be attending again next year for sure!! This show is held at the Govenor Hunt Horse Complex and they have 3 arenas with one of them totally enclosed with stadium seating. The action was non-stop through out the day that I attended and I must admit that I was like "a kid at the fair"! Anyone who knows me knows how much I love horses and riding so this was the place to be! Lots and lots of very large farms from all over VA, GA, FL, KY,SC, and NC were in attendance and the horses were all incredible!!

This makes me want to resume my lessons ASAP!! I was thinking that during the colder months of December, January and February I could be riding in place of the golfing that I normally do. I am not much for the cold and golfing (even though our courses are open year round in NC) but I do love to ride in the cooler months so this will be perfect!!! Also, as of last check, my butt wasn't getting any smaller so this will definitely be another way in which I could tone up and lose a few of those excess "baby pounds". What's that you say???? My "babies" are 27 and 30 years old now???? Guess that means there is no time to waste in getting in shape!!

YAY! Let me know if you start lessons. I have been going through major horse withdrawals this summer, and I do think it's a major reason I am not in the best mental state. There's something therapeutic about horses!

Yeah, I see horses everyday. They come right up to the house almost, now that the fence has been extended to the road. I never had much interest in riding, but you never know.

It's cool, John. Ol' Killer (a.k.a. Fansi), there, would be a perfect beginner horse for ya. Heh heh.
